ARO Homes
In partnership with the City of Chicago, Axis Apartments and Lofts offers select apartments in accordance with the Affordable Requirements Ordinance (ARO). These apartments are restricted to households that meet the income requirements listed below. Based on your household size and annual income, you may qualify. However, if you are above the designated household income, you would not qualify. Please refer to the 2024 Rent Income Limits listed below. If you have any questions, please email [email protected]

Axis Apartments and Lofts participates in the Veteran Preference for Affordable Housing Ordinance for ARO Homes and maintains a waitlist for Veterans interested in ARO Homes. To be added to the Veteran waitlist, please email [email protected] with your full name, preferred email address and preferred apartment size (studio, 1 bedroom or flexible for next available). Once an ARO Home becomes available, we will contact waitlist prospects in the order of which they were added to the waitlist. Veteran status will be confirmed for application submission.
After the 30-day period for the Veteran Preference for Affordable Housing Ordinance, all units are on a first come, first served basis. Availability of units is subject to change. The website is updated as unit availability changes. Other additional fees may apply.
